Introduction

The Speckled Boobook is a small owl with no ear-tufts. It is also known as the Speckled Hawk Owl.

Information

Distribution: Endemic to Sulawesi and the nearby islands of Wowoni, Kabaena, Muna, Buton, Batudaka and Togean in Indonesia.

Range of the Speckled Boobook Ninox punctulata

Status: Widespread and common within its range. Listed as 'Least Concern' by Birdlife International.
