Introduction
The Simeulue Scops Owl is a very small owl with short, prominent ear-tufts. It is also known as the Mentaur Scops Owl.

Information
Distribution: Endemic to Simeulue Island off the northwest coast of Sumatra.
Status: Frequent in its limited range. Listed as 'Near Threatened' by Birdlife International.
